PODCAST
Everyday we are inundated with thousands of messages promoting a way of doing business that is entrenched in toxicity. Are you as tired as I am of seeing the endless propping up of hustle culture and burnout as the only path to success? The marketing paradigms that are void of diversity, antiracism, and inclusion? The reliance on using harmful psychological triggers just to make a sale?! They want us to believe this is the only way it can be done; but I am here to tell you: that is 100% b@llsh*t! We don’t need to buy into this deeply harmful and exhausting mythos of doing business. I have made it my goal in life to not only change the way I do business but to help others do the same: through community, sharing, and learning through powerful conversations.
Welcome to the Business as Activism Podcast.
We are going to unpack and uncover how doing business in our current paradigm is causing tremendous harm and perpetuating an unjust system. We are also going to discuss new and better ways to do business –ways that actually can result in bringing about healing and contribute to changing the world.
I’m your host, Elijah Selby, Feminist Business Coach and I passionately believe that by dismantling the systems of oppression that are built into current business practices we can 100% help to make the world a more just place. So many of us are unconscious of the harmful beliefs and practices we are perpetuating. Including me. Through these conversations a whole other world and way of doing things is going to open up for you.
My desire is that these conversations inspire you to do business differently so that together we can build a better workplace and a better world.
