February 1st begins Black History Month and Ro Nwosu and I jump right in to what that means for Black business owners. We talk about performative vs. genuine lifting up of Black voices and business. Ro shares her experience and insight on being a Black women in business, expectations, the importance of respecting people’s time and energy, and what good partnerships look like (hint–they don’t just partner up for one month a year). We dive into cultural messaging and how it is spread…and how the simple question of, “How can I help?” can make a huge difference. How you speak to people matters. And really—soooooooo much more. Ro is so generous and we could have talked for days.
